Have you got some spare time on your hands and wondering whether FeaturePoints is a scam or a reliable platform to have it exchanged for money?
First of all congratulations on doing your personal research to make an informed decision. Featurepoints claims to have paid over $5,600,000 to members so I did an inside search to find the truth about this.
In this FeaturePoints review, I will not only be answering the question, “Is FeaturePoints Scam?” but will bring to your attention what to check out for in joining reward sites and other genuine ways to make money online.
So let’s get the ball rolling!

FeaturePoints is a free membership website that rewards you points which are redeemable in gift cards for a number of tasks and surveys you complete. It’s simply an intermediary platform that brings companies or developers and users like you and me together in one place.
So participating in the market research studies earn you a cut of what these companies pay to FeaturePoints.
FeaturePoints was founded in April 2011 but was launched in 2012 by the owners George Pogostin and Steven Brener. According to them, they’ve paid out over $5.6 million to its users worldwide.
This reward platform offers several ways to earn from including surveys, apps download and cash back which is available across multiple systems such as web, iOS and Android.
How Do You Make Money With FeaturePoints?
The first thing to do is sign up and complete your profile which gives you access to several ways to earn points.
#1. Completing Paid Surveys
Participating in paid surveys is the main feature to earn you most of the points which are typical of all reward sites that provide surveys. FeaturePoints has a considerable number of surveys but its availability is tied to the country you reside in.
While you would find several survey opportunities in some countries like USA and Canada, others would rarely have surveys available to them. So if you don’t see any survey in your dashboard, just check on other features.
The common thing to most paid surveys is that you’ll not always qualify for them so don’t get discouraged whenever you’re bounced. Usually, these surveys are third parties so you’ll be directed to a different website to participate anytime you click on surveys within FeaturePoints.
You could earn as high as 1500 points or even more for some surveys while others would be insignificant until it’s accumulated. Some surveys also take a while before you’re credited with the points after completion
#2. Downloading Apps
This is a pretty interesting way to earn more points if downloading apps to your phone is not a problem for you. FeaturePoints provides free apps which are available on Android and Apple devices.
If you’re always on your phone, then this is a good way to monetize what you do with it. You’re mostly required to download the app and carry out some tasks to earn points.
Therefore, it’s important to check what is required of you before downloading the app. For example, the above app requires me to download and play to reach level 200 before points are credited to me.
If you love playing games, then this is undoubtedly a nice way to earn points.
#3. Earn Cash Back For Online Shopping
This is a great way to earn some extra points if you love to do shopping online. FeaturePoints has partnered with a number of online stores which pays them a commission when users of the platform shops there through them.
Anytime you shop on these stores, FeaturePoints shares with you the commissions that come to them. This is more like getting discounts on things you normally buy online and it’s a good way to get some money back.
You can see that the stores are well-established ones so it’s a jackpot for you if you have been using them. However, this option is available to people living in the USA and Canada.
#4. Watching Videos
If you’re more of visuals and like to watch entertaining videos, then FeaturePoints has got something for you. There are a good number of categories with several videos you can watch to add to your points daily. The number of available videos varies from country to country.
However, videos are usually not a great way to make money with this platform. The earnings are low compared to the other options and I don’t think you want to watch them just for entertainment……that doesn’t put much money on the table.
You’ll be better off investing your time in surveys and apps download. But don’t forget it’s accumulation can make a difference.
#5. Inviting Friends
If the returns for the spare time you spend on FeaturePoints make a difference to you, then inviting friends and families to join would be a great way to add to your earning.
According to FeaturePoints when you invite someone to the platform, you make 50% of their earnings for life that is as long as the person is active on the platform.
This is a nice way to create multiple streams of points with FeaturePoints and similar platforms like PointsPrizes, Rewards1, PrizeRebel, GrabPoints, TimeBucks, PaidViewpoint provide you with this offer too.
You shouldn’t be carried away by this idea to be spamming people with your referral link.
#6. Earn From Free Contest
This is a new feature that presents an opportunity to earn free points if the angel of LUCK visits you. FeaturePoints provide weekly and monthly contest which you can participate when you have tokens in your account.
You earn tokens whenever you accrue 20 points to your account by taking surveys, downloading apps or getting cash back. With these tokens, you can participate in the weekly or monthly contest. The tokens are not deducted from your points, it’s a reward for 20 points.
From the above, you can see that the winner of the weekly contest would win $50 while that of the month wins $150. This is quite good money and you should be a person of luck to win that. People have actually earned from $25 – $150 with this contest.
If you’re active on this platform, then contest would be a really nice way to make decent money. Rewards1 also provides this option in a different way.
How Much Money Can You Make With FeaturePoints?
Reward sites are generally not a platform that you can stop your job over it. But if you love taking surveys and doing menial tasks online to accumulate pennies, then the amount you can earn is dependent on the time you’re willing to invest in it.
From FeaturePoint cash withdrawal option, 3,000 points are equivalent to $5 which implies that every point you make can be valued approximately $0.0017. This should tell you the amount of time and effort it will take you to make your first withdrawal.
That’s why I refer to reward sites as pennies accumulation adventure but there could be exceptional cases where those points could be made in a short time. If you don’t see any good future of your life with FeaturePoints then I suggest you check out my #1 recommendation of making a full-time income online.
How Do You Redeem Your Points on FeaturePoints?
FeaturePoints provide several ways to redeem your points when you reach the minimum threshold. You have the option of gift cards, PayPal and Bitcoins.
PayPal has been my favourite of getting payment from several platforms and you could withdraw as high as $1,000 and a minimum of $5 on FeaturePoints. With Bitcoins, the maximum amount you can withdraw is $10 and a minimum of $5.
The gift card options vary from country to country and they’re usually Amazon, Xbox, Nintendo, PlayStation cards.
What Are Users Saying About FeaturePoints?

A Hack To Earn More Points
Are you convinced that FeaturePoints can be a side gig for making extra income on the internet? Then here’s my helpful guide to you……….sign up here and watch the below video to get your first withdrawal.
Conclusion: Is FeaturePoints Scam Or Legit?
From the perspective of reward sites, FeaturePoints has a good profile than most of the similar sites found online. Also, they’ve been in operation since 2011 which passes a legit platform requirement and thus FeaturePoints is not a scam.
From my experience and information gathered online, they’re paying members as promised. So, you can join here if you’re good to go with FeaturePoints but chances are that you’ll like to consider Respondent (my favourite with higher earning rate) and other sites like Surveytime, PointsPrizes and Rewards1.
But before you join FeaturePoints, here are two sides of the coin to balance…
Pros
- It’s available worldwide
- It’s Free to join
- Has several options to earn points
- Offers a good number of withdrawal options
Cons
- You can’t stop your job over it
- Your account is reset when inactive for 60 days
- Some earning options are not available to all countries
FeaturePoints is a good side gig to add to your income stream but I wouldn’t spend most of my time to accumulate pennies. Why? FeaturePoints involves active work so I rather prefer creating multiple streams of income online to make passive income.
You can check out my #1 recommended system to find out how I do it.

Awesome post. I was looking for such side hustles couple of weeks back, I listed many but had no idea about their details. I’m glad that I get to read your post on Feature Points.
I’m already on a full time job, but many people ask me about free income opportunities. You have sufficiently covered the features in greater details. I can now suggest this platform to others. In fact, I’ll simply share this post, so that they will also read the full information about it. My only question is, is it free forever?
Thanks a lot for sharing this useful post. It will be beneficial to many.
The platform is free to join as I stated in the review. You might want to add Respondent to your list because the earning rare is higher comparatively.
Another legit means to generate income. Though this futurepoints pay is kind of way too small but considering the jobs done being menial and very small, this is a worthy opportunity especially for students to add up a few extra bucks. I have been Involved with some survey sites before in the past and they pay well. So, this should be worthy to try out too
Hi there,
I hope you find the value you’re looking for as you try it.
