Rewards1 review - a side income stream

Rewards1 is an online platform which has partnered with several companies to reward members for engaging in their service or brand. Rewards1 only get paid when members have completed an objective of their partnered companies being it surveys or offers and in return reward then in points.

These points are redeemable in several gift cards after you’ve attained a certain amount of points. In simple short, Rewards1 rewards you a portion of the amount the partnered companies pay them after you’ve carried out an assigned task from them.

They’ve been online since April 2002, offering the opportunity to people who don’t mind burning their spare time in exchange of gift cards. The platform has several options of earning and amazing features which stands out from a lot of survey sites I’ve reviewed.

How Do You Earn on Rewards1 ?

Rewards1 has a lot of several options like Clixsense, PointsPrizes, PrizeRebel and TimeBucks to earn points. They have some interesting features that make the platform a bit more engaging than most of the survey sites.

#1 Paid Surveys

Under this option, you’ll find daily surveys and partner surveys. The partner surveys are similar to what you find in Clixsense which require your profile set up and zip code in order to qualify for any survey.

Most of the surveys here take about 10-20 minutes to complete of which you’ll be asked basic questions such as date of birth, gender and other demographic information before you’re accepted.

Since you’re asked pre-screen questions before taking any survey, you might not qualify for all the surveys. The average qualify rate by Rewards1 is 20% so you have to take note of that.

#2 Partnered Offers

These are tasks ranging from surveys to playing games or completing several tasks to earn points from their partnered companies. Offers here doesn’t have a fixed amount of points and it could take you at least 5 minutes to completes some.

You’re usually taken to a different page where you provide some information to begin. They have several partners of which some can be found on Clixsense, PointsPrizes and most survey sites.

Rewards1 offer partners

#3 Refer New Members

This is one of the fastest ways to maximize your earning yet not an easy task. Rewards1 accrue you more points when you bring friends and new members to sign up. You do that with a referral link provided to you on the platform. You earn 30-40% commission as long as they remain active and also earn points.

One helpful thing Rewards1 does is that they have banners that will help you to refer target groups for example gamers and the likes. This is an interesting feature that I’ve not seen in most survey platforms that I’ve reviewed.

This is a great way to increase your points but it will require a lot of work to get referrals.

#4 Daily Poll

As a way to keep members active and at least see an increment of 1 in your accumulated points every day, Rewards1 provides an opportunity for members to offer their opinions in the community in exchange for a point.

You’ll see it as “R1 Daily” or “Today’s Daily” which makes you a maximum of 1 point for any option you choose for the daily poll. A similar thing is provided on PointsPrizes and PointClub.

Rewards1 daily poll

#5 The Daily Quest

This is also a side attraction in encouraging members to be active on the platform. It’s a bonus that you get when a particular number of points is made in a day. The bonus varies from stage to stage. It’s not much but a nice treat in encouraging you to engage yourself more on the platform.

Rewards1 daily quest

#6 Redeem Promotional Codes

A common thing found on PointsPrizes as one of the fastest ways to increase your points is one of the features on Rewards1. The promo codes on Rewards1 is much more like that of PointClub. These promotional codes are found on Twitter and Facebook pages of Rewards1 as well as within the platform.

You grab these codes, paste it in the redeem code activator and submit. Below is how you’ll find it on the platform. This will not earn you much compared to the other options. Besides, it’s more like an occasional thing.

#7 Participating in Contests

If you’re like those who love taking up challenges, then this option will be a way to bring in more points. Rewards1 set a time period where members who’re able to earn more points or refer more members are rewarded more points.

The only qualification criterium is to be active and you’ll be automatically considered. The first 20 members are rewarded a percentage of their earning which ranges from 2 – 10%.

#8 By Playing Games

This is having fun to accumulate points. There are a few games which you can play for free and others that can bring in some points. To win most of this would be either by luck or an experienced game player.

Some would require betting with some of your points. While it may be the fastest way to increase your points, depending on luck may not be your sure way to win. You must know what you’re about to put your point on the line.

#9 Watching Videos

In this information age, videos receive much attention than texts. This is the easiest way to accumulate point, however, the earnings are very low as compared to most of the options of adding to your points.

You can find this option under offers on the platform. While it may be entertaining to watch the video, it’s not an effective way to convert your spare time to money. The earning is not much different from most GPT sites.

How Much Money Can You Make with Rewards1 ?

Rewards1 has a lot of options to earn points but how much you can make is a difficult question for an exact answer. Your earnings are influenced by a number of options ranging from availability of surveys to your demographic location. In addition, the amount you make is tied to the time and effort you put in it.

The minimum redeemable point is 500 which is equivalent to $5. This implies that every point you make can be valued at $0.01 that’s a cent. It tells you how much effort you need to put in and the journey ahead of you to earn $5.

While it may be a nice way to turn your spare time into decent money, it can’t actually replace your main income stream. If taking surveys, is cool for you then adding Clixsense, PointsPrizes, PaidViewpoint, PrizeRebel would increase your daily earning.

However, Respondent has the potential to make you averagely $140 hourly with these offers if you qualify for them.

How Do You Redeem Your Reward?

Rewards1 has several options to redeem your points which shouldn’t be a problem to any member when it comes to availability of surveys compared to other sites. Once you reach the minimum threshold, you can redeem your points for Amazon gift cards, Game codes, PayPal Money, Entertainment and other gift cards.

The value of the gift cards common among these categories is $5, $10, $15, $20, $25 and $50 which is equivalent to 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 and 5000 points respectively.

Rewards1 gift cards

What's The Best Way To Earn Points on Rewards1 ?

If you’re looking out for the quickest way to reach the minimum threshold, then actively taking surveys will be your sure way. Rewards1 presents different earning ways but they mostly earn you fractions of what the paid survey can make.

The referral system might also help but if the person is not active, it will be of no use.

Pros

#1 It’s FREE to join

#2 Offers generous bonuses to keep members active

#3 You can donate your reward to charity

#4 Has several ways to redeem your points

#5 It’s open to all countries

Cons

#1 Requires active engagement and negligible potential of passive income creation

#2 You can’t stop your job over it (Can’t be rich with it)

#3 Low earning rate

What Users Are Saying About Rewards1

As you can’t hide from the truth, survey sites are usually pennies collecting platform. It takes patience and consistency if you’re interested to make a little side income. I don’t usually spend my time on them. I invest most of my time in my main income stream to generate passive income.

However, it good to know what other users are saying about Rewards1 to make an entrenched decision. To help you out, I’ve gathered from different sources and the following stands out;

Conclusion - Is Rewards1 Scam or Legit?

From the perspective of reward sites, Rewards1 is not a scam but it’s not something you can quit your job over. The site is legit and paying as at the time of this review. It doesn’t also look like they’ll be closing down soon as seen on whois.com search.

However, no matter how good their profile is, you can’t tell what the future is. It can be a decent side income to add to your income streams if only you don’t mind accumulating cents. If you don’t mind, then chances are that you will love joining the camps of Clixsense, Surveytime, PointsPrizes, PrizeRebelTimeBucks, Tellwut and Prolific.

  1. It’s great in theory to be able to turn your spare time into cash but to receive such a tiny little amount for a huge amount of time, just doesn’t seem worth it in my opinion. At the very least, Rewards1 has stood the test of time, having been open for business for many years! In that regard, it has to be better than some other survey opportunities, but I like the idea of Wealthy Affiliate that you’ve also posted links to. I think it looks like much greater potential than to turn your spare time into a nice little earner!

    • Wealthy Affiliate has been of great help to me since I started my make money online journey. All that I know now has been of their great training which anyone willing to build an online business can try out.

The amazing thing is that it cost little to nothing to get started. Having the chance to try things out before making any commitment is something I would encourage anyone to check out. So if you’re not interested in make pennies like in taking surveys, then heading there might be a turning point for you.

  2. Seems like a cool way to earn some extra cash. I know you won’t get rich doing Rewards1, but I think anybody looking to earn some pocket cash should give it a go.

It’s cool that the site lets users earn money different ways and not just with surveys. Rewards1 kind of reminds me of Treasure Trooper, in a way.

  3. Great post and good info.

I did survey sites, lots of them, yes you can earn some money, but don’t expect too much out of it. It is good to see this isn’t a scam and you can earn a bit of money with it. But again, I think you have to think about this: you want to spend an hour for a few bucks?

    Anyway, thanks for sharing it!

    • Well, in the domain of surveys sites, Rewards1 is definitely one of the best but considering opportunities that can replace your income stream, it’s not.

It totally depends on the financial status you desire for yourself. There are several opportunities that you can stop your job over because the potential to make you consistent monthly income is huge. You can find out more about how to start here

  5. Good afternoon Derrick,

I do not like it that the founder is not disclosed, it kind of puts me off. Somebody who creates a really good product is proud of having his or her name mentioned.

They provide you with work and then take a part of your pay, no wonder you earn so little. I do not think I would like to recommend this to people I know or not know.

I get the impression this platform will keep you very busy. I do not play games and neither want to watch videos. I do not want to spend the little free time I have trying to earn peanuts.

Thank you for this extensive information, it definitely is not for me.

    Regards, Taetske

Taetske, I guess you might be looking for opportunities that can make you a passive income. You can take a look at this recommendation to get you started and I believe you’ll love it.
