Surveytime is a free to use US-based reward site which is available worldwide to individuals who have 5-20 minutes of time to spare in exchange for money. Like all survey sites, they host market research companies and users in one place.
Market research companies with new products would want opinions of people to improve them and in return reward them in points for their time which is redeemable in gift cards.
The reward site was founded in June 2018 upon domain checkup so it tells you that they’re new in the system. Most survey site would require you to complete your profile while you have access to the membership dashboard, this one is different.
After verification of your account through your email, you’re taken straight to a page to complete a 15 minutes profile form which I find it energy draining. However, to find out its legitimacy, I had to complete to test what they can offer.
How Do You Make Money With Surveytime?
Surveytime like most survey sites is not different in the way of operation – share your opinion for a period and get paid but how to get on board of this one is a bit different. So I will be touching on that briefly to help you if you intend to join.
Register an account
Of course, you need to do this in all survey platforms but this is a little different. After providing your email or other information to get on board, you’re sent an email containing your account password. Looks strange, right?
Clicking through the verification link and logging in with the given password, you’re greeted with a 15-minute survey for your profile. You can’t get passed this to any dashboard. That’s very deterring but to find out what they can offer, I have to follow through. Most survey sites are not like that, that’s why I’m emphasizing on this to get it registered on your mind.
The profile helps them to know your interest so that they can send you invitations to surveys accordingly. Upon completion, I was taken to the dashboard and this is what I found.
As you can see from the above, you make money only through surveys categorized under different sections – fun, consumer, consumer opinion study, current view and others. It keeps on changing depending on the surveys available.
Most of the categories you select takes you to a different site where you’re asked screening questions. So far the highest survey duration, I’ve seen is 17 minutes but most of them are around 5 minutes.
How Much Money Can You Earn?
Theoretically, I would say you can make as much as you want if you’re taking surveys every now and then. But in reality, what you earn here can’t make you rich since you earn as much as the surveys you qualify for or are available which is also influenced by your geographic.
Surveytime rewards you on a flat rate. Every survey you complete irrespective of the time it takes earns you $1. For example, a 2 min survey will fetch you the same amount of reward as 10 min survey. You don’t need to accumulate points before you can withdraw which makes it better compared to others.
How Do You Redeem Your Rewards?
Surveytime has several gift cards available to redeem your reward depending on the country. For example, in the US, you have the option to choose from Amazon, PayPal, target and Decathlon.
After completing the survey, you’re given the option to claim your reward. This is something interesting you’ll find about Surveytime. PayPal is my usual option so after selecting it, a confirmation email or code is sent to your phone to complete the instructions of withdrawal.
Surprisingly, your rewarded reflects in your PayPal account within a short time. While this is positive, not being able to accumulate your money like other survey sites and withdraw them in bulk may not be preferred by everyone.
In a nutshell, it’s not a bad thing so you can jump on and make a dollar now if you’re interested. However, if you seek a higher earning rate after completing a task then you might want to check out Respondent, Rewards1 or the best platforms that pay you to test websites.

Is Surveytime a Scam or Legit?
Surveytime has been in existence for less than a year at the time of writing this review which doesn’t qualify it as legit. The domain got registered in June 2018, however, there’s been good feedback on their payouts. From the information gathered on Trustpilot (which rates it 6.9/10 ), one can’t conclude that it’s a scam either.
In my point of view, it will be harsh to conclude that Surveytime is a scam but you would have to keep it in mind that there will be glitches sometimes. When it happens, you can always contact their support team.
However, if you’re caught between two minds, then you can try out Respondent, Rewards1, Clixsense, PointsPrizes, PrizeRebel and TimeBucks. While these can earn you decent extra income, Wealthy Affiliate University can help you make passive income for your livelihood.

surveytime is a crock of shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! signed up tried to do surveys and was disqualified 10 out of 10 surveys all they do is is fill your inbox with the bullshit you cant complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That must be discouraging but it’s the reality with most survey sites. However, there are other better options that you can try out. My favourite one is Respondent. You can also add Rewards1 and PointsPrizes to it and I think you’ll be better off if you like taking surveys.

I completed a survey on surveytime.io after countless number of rejection midway surveys, but I was never awarded. quiet irritating. I sent an email requesting for guidance to receive payment, I received no reply. I requested for payment through Paypal, nothing came through still.

I signed up for SurveyTime and selected Amazon giftcard as my payment method. However, my first survey finish offered me $1 payout via PayPal only. There’s a button beneath the PayPal logo stating “more options” but clicking on it doesn’t provide more payment options. I couldn’t find a Contact page with email for contacting customer service support to ask about my $1 Amazon giftcard. I have no interest in signing up for PayPal, I only want Amazon giftcards, else Target, so how do I contact SurveyTime customer service support to look into what’s happening here? Meanwhile, am not accepting any of the survey links sent because I have no guarantee they’ll pay me.
