Hello there! Welcome to my Tellwut review!
Are you wondering whether telling what you think on the Tellwut platform can earn you some extra income or it’s just one of such survey sites that can’t make any difference in your income? Time is something we don’t have control over so it’s important considering the returns on where we invest it. So let me, first of all, congratulate you for doing your research before taking a decision.
There are actually several legitimate platforms to make money online participating in market research surveys but one has to be on the watch out for scammers and time wasters. Does it mean Tellwut is a scam or one of the legit platforms that can work for you?
Let’s find out!
What Is Tellwut About?
Product: Tellwut
Founder: NOT disclosed
Website: tellwut.com
Platform Type: Paid surveys
Cost: Your time ($0.00)
Best For: People interested in exchanging their free time for money or work at home Mom or Dad
Overall Rating: 6 out of 10
Tellwut is an online survey site that enables organizations and individuals to crowdsource information from opinions of their members on products, services and questions. It was founded in 2009 and the community is mainly individuals from the USA and Canada.
While the platform can be a good place to consider for your market research survey, individuals who don’t mind burning some time for points which are redeemable in gift cards can benefit from it as well. Like most survey sites, you’re rewarded in points not only for the surveys you participate but for those you also create on the platform.
The points accumulated are redeemable in gift cards only by individuals in the USA and Canada. You must be 18 years and above to be eligible for participation.
How Do You Earn Rewards on Tellwut?
Tellwut doesn’t have several routers for a variety of earning options as compared to ClixSense, PrizeRebel and PointsPrizes but offers some interesting ways to accumulate points. Some of which are one time while others are as you participate.
>> Creating Your Account
Tellwut rewards you 100 points after verifying your account in the sign-up. Only a few survey sites like TimeBucks, PrizeRebel and others provide such a welcoming kind gesture to members. It’s a good feeling to see it reflected in your account.
Providing Further Information
This can earn you as much as 150 points only when you’ve completed a list of questions to gather your personal information. It’s quite a long list of profile information which is useful for a survey invitation. It took me about 10 minutes and just on completion, the point was credited to me.
>> Refer a Friend Program
This is one of the smart and fast ways to accumulate points. You get 25 points for every friend or whoever uses your referral link to get on board. So it’s important to know where your referral link is and how to share it.
You’ve only credited the points once your referral creates and verifies the account.
>> Answer a Survey
Tellwut provides daily surveys which pay from 5-15 points. It might be small but it’s compounding effect can make a difference. It took me less than 2 minutes to completes one. Sometimes, these surveys are created by individuals on the platform. After completion, the statistics of your answer in comparison to the answers others gave are shown.
>> Create a public survey
That’s an interesting discovery that didn’t make sense to me on the first thought. Are they that generous to reward users points just by creating their own surveys? What’s in for them? Questions I thought to myself while trying to reason it out. However, there are rules to control and regulate how many surveys to post in a week.
Perhaps you might be asking the same question but I realized that the point rewarded is comparatively negligible considering the minimum points needed for redemption. It’s one of the ways to engage members on the platform and make available surveys to users every day. That earns you between 10 – 20 points per every created public survey that’s approved.
>> Taking an External Survey
This option earns you most of the points on Tellwut platform. You can earn points between 25 and 2000. The surveys received here are based on your profile and they’re usually hosted on a different website. You’ll find them under the available surveys option or through an email invitation.
After completing an external survey, you’re automatically credited with the points. However, surveys which pay at the end of the entire studies may take 5-10 business days before it reflected in your account. You’re therefore required to check the payment agreement for any survey invitations you receive before jumping on.
How Much Money Can You Earn?
The minimum redeemable points start at 4200 which is equivalent to $10. This implies that every point you earn is approximately $0.0024 and looking at the earning options, it will take a while to accrue that amount.
Your regular earning stream on Tellwut is the external survey, internal survey and survey creation provided you’re approved every time. The others are one-time offers which makes it obvious that much work and patience is needed to accumulate the minimum points.
Unlike PrizeRebel, Clixsense, TimeBucks, PaidViewpoint where you make recurrent referral points provided you referrals are active, Tellwut pays you one-time points only when the account is verified. This is not attractive to me and if you agree with me then Respondent and Surveytime will be your best shot.
How Do You Cashout Your Money?
Tellwut offers several gift cards such as Amazon, Walmart, Starbucks, just to name a few of which you can redeem your points but not including PayPal. Some of the gift cards are mailed to you while others are sent to you via email in the form of e-vouchers.
Redemption of points is processed within 15 business days upon order. The shipment of your order may vary depending on your location.

Is Tellwut a Scam or Legit?
Tellwut may be limited to specific countries but it’s not a scam. They’ve been operating since 2009 which places it on a strong position as a legitimate platform. However, you can’t be rich answering surveys on this platform and you definitely have to be persistent to make the minimum redeemable points.
If that sounds like a cool side gig for you then spending your time on these best scam-free websites will also pay you for testing websites. In addition, PointsPrizes, Clixsense, PrizeRebel, TimeBucks, Surveytime will be other good options to get at least a survey invitation a day.
You might want to consider options that will fetch you passive income for one-time work you do if the above is not worth your time. Read to the bottom to find out more on how I do it myself.
Final Thoughts - Is Tellwut Worth Your Time?
For people looking for a side gig to exchange their free time with pennies, Tellwut sounds cool if you reside in Canada or the USA but Respondent is better. Nonetheless, it will be a waste of time or worthless for you if your main aim is to fall on something that will generate you income now and some time to come. Tellwut can’t be that platform because your active work and persistence can make you only $10 working months.
This is the reason why building my own online business is worth the time. It’s has not only helped me to generate consistent income but has cured “cancer of the wallet”. The hard work I put into it translates into the income I make. I learnt how to do it through a group called Wealthy Affiliate. They taught me how to make passive income with affiliate marketing and I’m doing just fine.

Yeah, it’s definitely no scam, being around for ten years which always places these platforms into the legitimate category no matter what. It’s definitely worth something for those who want a small amount of income for donating their time. Definitely not a bad side hustle, but still nothing to do full-time. I call it even-keel.
Thanks for your comment. I suggest you check my #1 recommendation if you want to make a full-time income.
